Employer
Match
In addition to the Australian Government Skill Matching
Program with employers in regional areas of Australia,
Immigration Partners has its own Employer Match Program
which assists our clients to address the most critical
phase of a transition to a new country - a job in
Australia. Your credentials will be provided
without your name to prospective employers either
directly or through our Industry affiliations. If
your occupation is in demand or on a state government
priority list you may be offered a temporary work visa
pending the result of your permanent visa application.
MODL Occupations
The Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL)
lists those occupations and specialisations identified
by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace
Relations (DEWR) that are in short supply.

SOL Occupations
If you intend to apply for a visa under General
Skilled Migration you must have a nominated application
with is on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL) at the
time you apply. This is a list of occupations
maintained by the Australian Department of Immigration
and Citizenship.
Offshore
General Skilled - This is a General Skilled
Migration visa can only be granted while you are outside
of Australia. At the time you lodge your
application, you must provide evidence that you have
obtained an assessment from a relevant assessing
authority that your skills are suitable for your
nominated authority.
Onshore
General Skilled - This is a General Skilled
Migration visa which can only be granted while you are
in Australia. You must make a declaration that you
have applied for a skills assessment from a relevant
assessing authority for your nominated occupation at the
time you lodge your application.

Priority Occupations
Priority Occupations fall into two categories,
with some occupations being common to both -
Skilled –
Sponsored - A permanent visa for people unable to
meet the Skilled – Independent pass mark.
Applicants must be nominated by a participating State or
Territory government. Applicants must pass a
points test, with a lower threshold than that for the
Skilled – Independent visa.
Skilled –
Regional Sponsored (Provisional) - A three
(3) year provisional visa for people who can meet the
lower pass mark for this visa. Applicants must be
nominated by a participating state/territory government.
After living for two (2) years and working for at least
one (1) year in a Specified Regional Area, applicants
can apply for a permanent visa.
